We look forward to seeing you on Friday, April 17th, at the inaugural Birth Justice Prom: Bloom Where You’re Planted celebration! Registration is closed and the event is SOLD OUT. If you are registered and unable to attend, please email info@sisterweb.org so we can make your ticket available to someone in need.
If you are registered but no longer able to attend and would like to send someone in your place, please instruct your replacement to provide your name at check-in and let staff know they are attending in your place. Thank you for your understanding.

Please Note: The Birth Justice Prom is designed for maximum networking & connections! For this, we will not have a traditional seated meal nor assigned seating, so that guests can float around while they network and celebrate. We will have scattered seating available for guests who prefer to sit and chat on a first come, first served basis, but no assigned seating.

This event celebrates community, so attire is not required to be formal or strict black-tie. It’s about joy, self-expression, and being rooted in community care. Wear what feels expressive and most comfortable for you to bloom! Think prom-inspired with a natural twist! Floral prints, bright colors, ball gowns, bold accessories, sundresses, linen suits, colorful separates, and playful details are all encouraged. You might see:

Check-In:
At the entrance, you will stand in the registration line and check-in by Last Name. No need to print tickets. All registered guests will be listed at check-in.
Weather:
The Birth Justice Prom will be held entirely indoors. Weather reports forecast April 17th in Berkeley will be cool with partly cloudy skies. Note: As of Fri., 4/10, the expected weather for the evening in Berkeley is reflected below. Please continue to check weather reports for changes. Plan your attire accordingly!

CeCe & Cello are a team of two dynamic performing artists and teaching instructors from West Oakland, California who specializes in teaching a range of blending cultural traditions and performing arts in West African Stilt dance, drumming, and circus arts skills to children and youth from different communities around the Bay Area. Through their work they strive to promote cultural engagement and foster community development. They aim to inspire creativity, build confidence, and preserve cultural traditions.

Come ready to show out in your Sunday’s best! Guests who want to participate can raise their hand and join us on stage for a quick spin. The crowd will decide the winner—the loudest applause takes the prize.

A vinyl enthusiast that traverses time and texture, Nina's insatiable curiosity for music discovering keeps her sets fresh and unexpected. She has played with artists including DJ Spinna, Solange, Rich Medina, Natasha Diggs, Pete Rock, and many others.
