INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
SisterWeb's internship opportunities offer students hands-on experience in communications, data and evaluations, and program management. Interns play a key role in cleaning and monitoring quantitative data and collecting testimonials. In addition, they assist in crafting clear and impactful social media content and reports. These dynamic roles not only provide valuable, essential public health skills but also fosters critical thinking and problem-solving. By collaborating with experienced professionals at SisterWeb, partner organizations, and hospitals, interns gain insights into the community-rooted organization models of care while contributing meaningfully to ongoing efforts to advance birth equity.

Photovoice Project with SisterWeb Doulas and Clients
These photographs and quotes are from the SisterWeb Evaluations Department’s photovoice project carried out in by 2022. Photovoice is a participatory qualitative research tool used in community-based research. It’s a powerful way to help us understand others and connect with each other. For our photovoice project, SisterWeb community doulas took photographs and attached stories that represented their individual perspectives and lived experiences as doulas.
In 2023, this project was continued to capture the experiences of SisterWeb clients.
